Over 20 years of teaching experience means I can find your problems in just a couple of swings and fix them quickly.

Working with over 30,000 students means I can adapt my communication and teaching style to YOU.

Having over 28 kids in college, on scholarships means I know the road to collegiate golf. I can help design a strategic plan of success for your child, beginning as early as age 8.

Twelve years playing as a professional golfer means I can help you with course strategy, controlling your emotions, and taking your game to the highest level. Whether it's winning your club championship or just beating your brother in law, I understand what it takes to win.

Winning local, state and national titles means that I can relate to the pressures of competitive golf and pass that knowledge on to you.

Caddying for my clients, who went on to play in the USGA Senior Open and Mid Amateur Championships means I know about reading greens and course management.

Dedicating my life to "golf excellence" in one form or another means you are not only in the presence of someone who loves the game, but loves to share what I know with you.

Michelangelo/Teaching Philosophy

"It has been said that Michelangelo took years to do the now famous sculpture David. He found the large stone on the side of the road, where many people had passed by it, not seeing what it could be. When asked, "How did you make this?" He replied, "I looked inside the stone and saw the true David. I simply took everything that was not David away."

When I teach, I see the golf swing you could have if only we took a few things away. I see potential and I teach you how to make it a golf reality. My responsibility is to make sure you leave a lesson knowing what and how to practice. Your responsibility is to do the drills and practice the way I advise so you can find your true swing and maximize your potential.

I work with what you have, where you are right now, and together we help you to get to where you want to be. To me, teaching is like creating art. It is my great passion to see people succeed and realize if they work for it, they will get as good as they want to.

I love working with children, especially those who wish to play competitively. I have worked with state champions from Texas, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina. I present a total improvement program, including swing fundamentals, short game skills, mental focus, visualization, on-course training, and competitive preparation. Over 20 of my students have been awarded golf scholarships and play at the college level.

People have asked me if I like working better with beginners or more advanced players like my mini tour students. I can honestly say I enjoy both. I am in awe of the power a pro can generate when they get their swing grooved, and I still get a thrill when I get to see a beginner hit the ball in the air for the first time ever. Teaching is more than a job. It is a passion. Some people get up in the morning and make sales calls, others make cars. I make golf swings. It is a beautiful thing."
